Gratitude:
Gratitude is like a magnet: the more grateful you are the more you will receive to be grateful for.
Life is so hectic. The notion of self-care seems like another forgotten task on our very long to do list, start simply with gratitude.
I knew that my healing from the grief of widowhood was beginning to have tangible positive effect on me, when I woke up one morning and realized that the weight of anxiety had lifted. I was so grateful to be able to breathe freely that every day after that I found something to be grateful for.
Gratitude has been found to:
Lower blood pressure
Improve mood, psychological wellbeing, self-esteem, and depression.
Reduce stress
Help with healing
Wow! Something so easy to apply has so many benefits! Gratitude can also remind us of what positive things have been accomplished from negative circumstances such as grief or trauma.
